THE 21 CENTURY TEACHING IN PRIMARY SCHOOL

kinaesthetic) and affective (feelings/emotions/attitude) domain of learning should
be enriched with different activities that will enhance learning. These will enhance
their cognitive (thinking/ knowledge) learning domain for use / application when
                      the need arises.

                   iii. Critical Thinking
Teachers should think of the end result of their lesson. They should prepare to
deliver lessons in such a way that students are encouraged to think deeply and ask
thought provoking questions. The lesson should also spur them into finding out
more information about the topic even after the lesson is over. Continuous
Assessment: Learner's assessment should cover the three domains of learning.

                   iv. Collaboration
Educators should work as a team. They should be willing to share their
thought/ideas and listen to the opinion of others. No one is an island of
knowledge; no man knows it all. They should encourage their learners to seek ways
to collaborate with other learners in and out of their classroom by giving group
                      work, research questions etc.

                   v. Computer Skills (ICT)
Teachers should be ICT compliant in their teaching and asking of questions. They
should also help their learners to use ICT well and get the benefits of ICT.
