C. Learning Activities and Outcomes-based Assessment
In accordance with pertinent provisions of Republic Act (RA) No. 7722, otherwise known
as the “Higher Education Act of 1994”, in pursuance of an outcomes-based quality assurance
system as advocated under CMO 46s series of 2012, and by virtue of the Commission en banc
Resolution No. 268-2015 dated May 25, 2015 the policies, standards and guidelines (PSGs)
are hereby adopted and promulgated by the Commission. Based on the guidelines for the
Implementation of CMO 46 series 2012, this PSG implements the “shift to learning
competency-based standards/outcomes-based education.” The Bachelor of Science in
Information Technology program of JHCSC – Dumingag Campus adheres to CMO No. 15,
series of 2015 “Revised Policies, Standard, and Guidelines for BSCS, BSIS, and BSIT
programs. The outcomes-based syllabus for each course is prepared by the assigned faculty
members at the beginning of the semester.
During the first day of classes, each instructor/professor are required to give another
orientation about the school vision, mission, goals and Core Values of the institution as we as
the BSIT program objectives, graduate program outcomes, course objectives as reflected in the
course syllabus in Figure 7 below.
