UNAUTHORIZED AREAS
Students are not to be in areas of the school that are not normally used during the school day.
Some of these areas would include office, staff lounge/kitchen, cleaning/supply closets, parking
lot and areas that are not visible from the school building and under direct supervision.
Students in these areas may face disciplinary action. If it is necessary to use the telephone, an
office staff member will make the call for you.
VALUABLES
Items of value should not be kept at your desk. If there is a need to bring valuables to school,
they may be checked into the office. The school is not responsible for valuables brought
into the school by students.
VISTORS
Parent visitors are encouraged. Any person who is not an Outlook Academy student or
employee must register in the office and wear a visible name tag assigned by office personnel.
We request that appointments be made in advance to meet with the staff. Student visitors
require the prior written permission of the administration.
TRANSPORTATION RULES
Transportation is provided by Allegan County Transportation.
Transportation is provided for students providing they follow all rules & regulations. Failure to do so may
result in removal from the A.C.T. system.
It is extremely important that students demonstrate proper behavior at all times. The A.C.T. system is a
public transportation system. It is not part of the Outlook Academy. Students can be removed from
routes by A.C.T. but still be required to attend Outlook Academy.
In many cases, attendance at the academy is greatly affected by the lack of dependable transportation.
Daily attendance is an expectation at the Academy.

Bus Rules
Eligibility Policy
Allegan County Transportation provides bus transportation for students of the Outlook
Academy. Bus routes are designated according to the region of the County in which students
reside. Only students approved by Outlook Academy Staff will be eligible to receive
transportation.
Arrival at the Bus Stops
Students should arrive at the bus stop ten minutes before the scheduled time for the bus
to arrive, thus allowing them plenty of time to catch the bus. The students should wait for the
bus in a quiet, orderly manner. There should be no crowding, fighting, or pushing, profane or
obscene language, or littering at the bus pickup location. Smoking is prohibited at bus stops or
while riding school transport.
