20. Transportation will not be provided for non-school activities or to places of employment.
21. There will be no eating or drinking on the bus. See violation 5.
22. Skateboards may not be brought on the bus or any item that may present a hazard or
disruption.
23. Students are not to go to their mailboxes until the bus is out of sight.
24. Three no-shows within a 30 day period is reason for removal of bus privileges for 3 days.
Violation of Bus Conduct and Safety Rules
The following is a list of violations of “Bus Conduct Rules and Regulations” and the
disciplines that will be used in conjunction with the school system policies and regulations.
Students are subject to school rules and discipline while at bus stops and riding the
bus. School consequences including loss of level, time in level zero and suspension
are possible for offenses occurring off school property if they occur at a stop or on
the bus.
1. Tobacco, use of:

2 Offense: 10 days minimum suspension of riding privileges

2. Alcohol, use and/or possession of:
1 Offense: 5-10 days Minimum suspension of riding privileges

3. Drug Abuse (controlled substance or look-a-likes); use, possession, selling and/or
deliver of:
1 Offense: 10 days minimum suspension of riding privileges

4. Intimidation, insubordination, forgery:
Insubordination is defined as: disobedient behavior or non submission to authority. Types of
insubordinate behavior while riding the bus may include
Not staying in seat while vehicle is in motion
Not listening to directions from driver or talking back to driver
Not respecting other riders by using foul language
Intimidation is defined as forcing someone to deter from action by inducing fear. Types of
intimidation while riding the bus may include
Disrespectful behavior towards driver by using foul language or a tone of voice that would
cause a driver to feel uncomfortable
Disrespectful behavior towards other riders by using foul language or a tone of voice that
would cause a rider to feel uncomfortable
Using body language or hand gestures that would make a driver or rider feel
uncomfortable
