Service Projects for our Circles:
Prayer Shawls to bring comfort and Baby Blankets for all newborns in our church are the
special gifts from our twice monthly craft workshops. Blessed in church services, they are
ready when needed.
Believing Friends in Faith Circle prepares 200 sack lunches for the homeless each month.
20 to 30 SMR pins are presented to deserving men and women in our church each UMW
Sunday. We not only recognize leadership and service in our church family but support our
Mission projects as well.
Burning of the Candle is also supported by many in our church and we are fortunate to be
able to annually donate $1500 to $2000 to Mission. We include a chapel service and a
friendship lunch wit this annual event each May.
Cater Elementary is our Adopt a School where we present books to 400 children twice a year,
hold monthly birthday parties for students, provide tutoring and backpacks of food, when
needed. For Christmas, ever child received a fleece blanket made by UMW members.
Girl Friend in God Circle provides leadership for this key project.
Dangerous Women Circle provided devotional books for Bible Study to deployed soldiers
and supported the first Alternative Christmas Market to benefit our human trafficking
project, Invisible Chains.
Esther Circle is educating us about the importance of taking better care of planet Earth and
Climate Justice.
Dorcas Circle has a visitation program for homebound church members and two members
who have worked to set up a church library which includes our UMW Reading Program.
