Nursery Rhymes and Deeper Learning
Eighth grade students accepted the task for a
deeper learning exercise in which they illustrated
classic nursery rhymes for use in Mrs.Sanford's
Mrs. Sanford’s
pre-k 3 class. Students had the opportunity to
deliver their art to the lower school and read the
Lower School and read the
corresponding rhymes in a group setting.

MS Art students: Grades 6 & 7
spent time building camarade-
rie, patience, and basic acrylic
painting skills. They learned
about the use of color, layering,
and brushwork while producing
works inspired by French
Impressionist Claude Monet.
Grade 8 students also learned
how to craft an acrylic painting
from compositions of their own
choice.
