Sodom's Sin—The Search for Victims
The most significant development in America's new
sexual freedom is the fact that sadomasochists, filled
with aggression and hostility, go about searching for
victims. Is this not the very same thing that happened in
Sodom? Sadomasochists stormed the home of Lot to
make rape victims of two visiting angels. What now
threatens to tear our society apart actually precipitated
swift judgment on Sodom. This unleashing of sexual
hostility and violence against the pure and innocent in
America has already passed the flash point. It can no
longer be contained. All hope is gone for the healing of
this plague: "For the sin of my people is greater than
that of Sodom, where utter disaster struck in a mo-
ment without the hand of man" (Lamentations 4:6 LB).
The Warren court opened the floodgates of smut in
1966. Now, a decade later, the flood has so enveloped
America that obscenity sits as king! And to think that
even ministers testified in that Warren court that por-
nography had redeeming qualities under certain condi-
tions.
The shepherds of my people have lost their sen-
ses.

The Moral Landslide
In 1815, America still blushed at smut and pornogra-

displaying an indecent painting. In 1842, our courts
banned the importing of smut. In 1865, our nation even
made it unlawful to use the mail for the peddling of
filth.
The moral landslide actually began in the early 1950s
when Lady Chatterley's Lover became a best seller. The
