    weight: 5.05. Engraved on the back the name "Irena Hichsher". The Institution was founded in 1927, but was ill-starred in the scandal of the abducted children
    of Yemenite immigrants (1948-54) when it turned out that the institute served as a covert adoption facility for those children.

    maker-marked; size: 18 x 21mm; weight: 2.1g. The 'Magen David Adom' was established in the US as a Jewish counterpart to the Red Cross; the organization
    was established in Palestine in 1930 - hence the possible dating of this pin.
