Safe se of the Harour
We would like all visitors to enjoy their time on Canna. All yachts should follow basic safety rules within the harbour area.
* Yacht tenders should not approach the slipway whilst the Lochnevis ferry is either berthing or preparing to depart. The wash from the stern thrusters could easily capsize small boats.
* Lifejackets should always be worn for the short trip from yacht to shore.
* During the summer months there are a large number of kayakers in the
harbour, so care is required to avoid collisions.
* The Harbourmaster can be contacted on VHF Channel 14 or Emergency Channel 16.
* The Harbour Office telephone number is 01687 310733 (not manned continuously).
