My goodness, what a year it has been!
From bee attire to red elves to a synchronised swim team member, being on the Exec has been not only an incredible learning experience, but a unbeatable experience around the board!
My personal roles ranged from Sock Tag to Talent Quest, and many things in between. Exec taught me a heck of a lot about time management, delegation, and setting priorities. I’ve come out the other end with many new experiences and lovely friends, and am incredibly glad I was given this opportunity.
I was also blessed with the opportunity to re-start an Environmental group within the College - can you beelieve it?! We managed to reduce food waste from College members, and introduced a wicked ‘Boomerang Bag’ system to reduce unnecessary plastic bags being brought into the College. For the start of this group, I am incredibly proud of how much the Enviro Beehive has accomplished!
Being a part of the Exec has given me a family within the larger whānau of Margs, and for that, I am extremely thankful.
Tetsu, you have been a blessing to work with, and I am so excited to see where your path leads you (big things are coming your way kiddo)! I am immensely proud of the work we’ve achieved—you the real (2019) VP.
