          A PELOTON WITH A PURPOSE
          A PEL O T ON WITH A PURPOSE

In November, there was great excitement at the Junior School (Wentworth Falls) as the Tour de Cure Peloton of
more than 30 riders, and their support crews, called in on their fundraising journey from Orange to Redfern.
Tour de Cure rides are part of the Commonwealth Bank Staff Foundation’s Can4Cancer program, with these riders
          – having already travelled more than 250km over the past two days - setting off from the Junior School with a
100+km ride to finish at Redfern later that day.
Their message – Be Fit, Be Healthy, Be Happy – was shared with our Primary students at a special Assembly, who
then formed an enthusiastic cheer squad to send the Peloton on its way!

          LE TOUR AVEC UNE DIFFÉRENCE
LE T OUR A VEC UNE DIFFÉRENCE
In September, in bright Spring sunshine and following a rousing
rendition of La Marseillaise, students at both Junior campuses rode
around their Junior campuses for the annual Le Tour de Montagnes
Bleues (Wentworth Falls) and Le Tour de Vallée (Springwood) -
these events are a highlight of the French program at each Junior
school and we thank our Specialist French teacher, Madame
O’Hara, for providing such an enriching cultural experience for the
children, who were also able to practise their language skills and
sample some delicious French cuisine! Des croissants, ça vous dit?
