This concept was thought up by Emily (September
Mourning’s front women) and then pitched to Marc
Silvestri of Top Cow Productions, a partner studio of
image comics. The two of them polished a story that
they fashioned into what is called a “transmedia
experience.” They have comics that go hand in hand
with their albums that can take fans on a journey both
audibly and visually. Their concerts have the same
audio and visual treat. The comic videos play in
between each song, helping to give full view of the
story of each one. It is a well-choreographed show that
is definitely one to catch and experience. The songs
themselves are addictive enough, but once you see
the show, you will want to dive into the comics as well.
