Dan: I’d like to see us open for any touring act that we fit the bill for, but if I had my
preferences, these days, I’d like to open for Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters,
or, well, any one of my influences would freak me right out. So, there’s too many to
list here. Realistically, I feel we fit best with a progressive rock orientated show. That
progressive label is pretty wide though. We’re progressive rock right up to the edge of
metal. I think we’re more early Rush than Dream Theater, if that gives you any idea.
Don’t get me wrong though, I’m not comparing our level of talent to those guys. That
would be crazy talk.
CJ: I would love to share a stage with any of those bands listed earlier. Maybe Tool
right now, since they're not quite decrepit yet.
MH: How long has the band been together (short history on how you all met)?
Mark: The band has been together in this form for a couple years now. Miguel is the
center of the band, having put out the initial ad and maintaining the practice room
through various incarnations. After the band settled for a bit with Miguel and CJ,
problems with their guitarist forced a change. An ad was placed in Bandmix.com. At
the same time, Dan had been looking for a new project and had also placed an ad.
CJ reached out to Dan with a one-word question, ‘Trio?’ After a tryout and Miguel’s
vote of confidence, Dan made the cut.
MH: Thanks guys, for this great insight. Anything else you would like the
readers to know about?
THEN WHEN: We are here to stay, to make TUCSON proud, and to kick some rock
‘n’ roll ass! We want to remind people what it’s like to see a live rock band get up on
stage and kick ass without auto-tune, without backing tracks, with just instruments,
amps, and talent. We also think it's cool that we have a lot of musical and ethnic
diversity in just three dudes.

So, there you have it…another great band coming out of Arizona. Unfortunately, the
band is put on hold as far as live performances because of the pandemic in our nation
and globally. But in the meantime, you can catch them on Facebook, their website,
and on YouTube.
