During a random “scrolling fatigue” on social media, a band that I’m following on Instagram posted
their upcoming show in Glendale. To my surprise, the venue was literally a couple blocks away from
my favorite hangout place, The Americana at Brand in Glendale.

The show, which took place on February 19, 2022, was packed with music lovers, and featured an
amazing lineup of bands: Sadgirlz Club, Unpop, Hoity Toity, and Sarchasm. The venue, located in
a community arts space, Junior High Los Angeles, which is a non-profit prioritizing the safety and
expression of female, queer, nonbinary, and artists of color. Junior High, located at 603 S. Brand
Boulevard, Glendale, CA, provides a truly intimate vibe, which was definitely a perfect match for this
