TB: How did you each get started in music?

Heather: I have always loved singing, in fact, I think I annoyed my family with my constant singing! Ha-ha.
Meeting Mat and forming the band (my very first band) was such a life changing event. I've never looked back!

Mat: I knew I was a musician from birth. I taught myself piano (because that was what was in the house) and
started writing rudimentary songs at the age of three, but all I dreamed about was playing guitar. One day, I
found an old beat-up acoustic guitar in the attic, and I've been obsessed since.

TB: Having listened to your music, I found it difficult to label it to any one particular genre. How would
          you describe your music?

Heather: We fall under the huge "singer-songwriter" category, but it really is hard to put one label on us. I
usually tell people we're Heart meets Alice in Chains with some Tom Petty thrown in.

TB: You have played several shows opening for Rick Springfield. How did that come about?

Heather: A mutual friend played him some of our music and Rick invited us to open one show. He and his fans
loved us so much, he gave us an open invite to open his ‘Stripped’ shows, which we've done for the last 6 or
          7 years.
