MH: Any advice to upcoming musicians or bands?
JB: You know the one thing every successful band has in common? They never gave up. And you know what
AC/DC says: ‘It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock n roll.’ Time separates the men from the boys -- or
more accurately, those who love making music from those who love getting high-fives. If you really love what
you do, just hang in there. It is indeed a long way to the mountain top, but you always get there if you don't
stop, and it feels so good when ya do.
MH: What has been the biggest obstacle for your band so far?
JB.: Well, we're all professional musicians and dads, amongst other things, so initially, juggling our more high
profile and high paying gigs to feed our families has taken president for us all. But as we've gotten into a
rhythm, it's become easier and easier. This year, we're setting out to turn D.I.L.F. USA into a household name,
and our primary gig touring around the country. Obstacles be damned…we're just having too much fun!
MH: Thank you, guys, for telling us about
D.I.L.F USA. Any last words to your friends
and fans?
JB.: Tired of rock bands who have forgotten the
most important part of music, the FANS? Us
too! We're so tired of going to shows and
watching egotistical pseudo ‘rockstars’ jerking
themselves off on stage, feeding their hurt
egos! We set out to form the kinda band that
WE wanted to see as FANS of MUSIC
OURSELVES! And we've succeeded. We beg
you to come out to support what we are doing
because we are doing it for YOU! We are laying
our bodies on the line every night in the name
of helping our audience have a GREAT TIME!!
I don't stop. I give it power until I'm literally
hyperventilating on the floor! That's how I know
I've given our audience the energy they
deserve! When I filled in for Jack Russel and
we got off the stage together for the first time,
everyone who came up to us that night said the
same thing: "WE HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME!"
And that's why I called Robby and Dan to form
this band in the first place -- because I wanted
to hear that more! We don't need to hear how
great we are. We've all been doing this long
enough. At this point we’d better be great. The
audience should be able to expect that the
band they are seeing will be great. What we all
wanna hear for the rest of our lives is what a
damn great time everyone had being at our
shows! We consider anything less a failure and
we don't fail. That's why we do what we do -- to
give everyone a great time! Hell, that's (con’t)
