L.S.: How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it?
Dim: The best way we’ve been able to describe it is, imagine a band that pulls sounds from LANY,
Jimmy Eat World, Thrice, and sprinkles of Explosion in the Sky. We feel that’s a pretty close
description of our sound…true emotional alternative rock music that makes you feel something
again.
L.S.: Talk about the debut album a bit. Did you collaborate on creating the songs? How was
your experience in the studio while recording it?
Dim: The entire album was written and produced by us alongside our good friend Jeremy Nichols
of Space Jockey Sounds. We wrote all of the music and lyrics in person with each other during
our writing-jam sessions. We love to take some pride in the fact that it was all written within a state
that purely flowed out and between us. There was no sitting down at a computer or writing songs
in the studio…it all came to fruition with each other during the energy we created while jamming
together. We couldn’t have chosen a better place or person to record the album with. We truly
consider Jeremy as a secret member of the band.
