L.S.: If you had to pick your favorite song L.S.: Are you playing live shows? Do you
on the album, which would it be and why?
Dim: This is such a hard thing to do! There are
so many songs that we all love so much, so
we’ll give you our top 3: ‘Start Over Again,’
‘Pull Myself Up,’ and ‘Come Find Me.’ ‘Start
Over Again,’ was the FIRST complete song
we created as a band. We feel it personally
helped light that fire underneath our feet.
Everyone loves a tastefully placed saxophone
in a song as well. ‘Pull myself up’ was a song
that our engineer/producer looked at us and
said, ‘I think you guys are really onto
something here.’ To see his face light up was
such a good feeling. We love the story that’s
told within the song as well as it’s something
we feel we all strongly relate to. ‘Come Find
Me’ is such an emotional song. It’s one that
can really be felt by the listener. Ben actually
recorded the drums to this on the first take and
we kept it. This is such a dynamic ballad, and
it will always hold a special place within us.
L.S.: When it comes to music, are you ‘all-
in’ or do you have a job outside of music?
Dim: We are ‘all-in,’ however, a couple of us
do have full-time jobs. We really hope that
won’t be the case too much longer though!
L.S.: What can music-lovers expect at a
Dim show?
Dim: You can expect a full emotional roller
coaster. We feel there aren’t many bands that
you will hear like us. To quote a friend from
our debut show, ‘Dude, y'all had people
literally tripping out while you were
performing. Legitimately more than half the
crowd. Mostly all of them knew your lyrics and
were so pumped to finally see it live (just as I
was).’ Hopefully this helps get you and the
readers excited to see us live here soon!
plan to tour in support of the album?
Dim: We definitely are! We sold out our first
show at the Masquerade (Purgatory) in July.
We don’t have any other Atlanta dates at this
time but will hopefully have some more lined
up ASAP. We don’t have any tours planned
just yet, but we feel you could definitely see
one happen come 2022.
L.S.: What is the best advice you’ve
received as an independent artist? Also,
what is the worst?
Dim: The best advice would be just in regard
to finding yourself, your sound. To quit trying
to be like anyone else or to sound like anyone
else. Focus on you! Focus on your abilities
and do the best you that you can do. There is
no one like you. The world doesn’t need
another ‘so-and-so,’ the world needs you! Be
you. The worst advice? It would have to be
letting anyone try and tell you what you
should do or how you should sound. No one
has the right to ever tell you how YOU sound.
L.S.: The perfect gig…on what stage
(venue) would you be performing. And, if
you had the pick of any band or artist to
share the stage with, who would that be?
Dim: At the moment, we would absolutely
LOVE to play at Red Rocks Park and
Amphitheater. This would be our ultimate
bucket list venue. If we could share the
stage with anyone there, it would have to be
Siguor Ros. A show with them at Red Rocks
would be such an INCREDIBLE experience.
L.S.: If a young aspiring musician came to
you and asked for advice on carving out a
career in music, what would you tell them?
