INTERVIEW

                           Music by The Dead Daisies
“30 Days In The Hole” Interview by Marty Haviik

I had the fabulous opportunity to give Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, Dio, Lion) of The Dead Daisies a
call at his pad, and it wasn’t the interview I was expecting. Instead of a quick rehearsed mindset with
stiff questions, Doug’s chilled “Hello” Immediately changed the vibe. His relaxed tone of voice
enticed me to throw out the questions and just have a great conversation with the man. We chatted
about everything -- from family to side notes; to music experiences and personal thoughts. He was
candid, insightful, and at times, he really dug deep with his responses. In the end, I truly appreciated
his kindred talk with me, which was so relaxed and congenial. It left me feeling as if I’d made a new
          friend.

“The Lockdown Sessions” contains four tracks, including “Unspoken,” “Righteous Days,” and an

incredible version of the Humble Pie classic, “30 Days In The Hole.” These three exclusive, powerful
rock tracks are featured on the upcoming album “Holy Ground.” The fourth offering on the EP rounds
out with a stripped-back version of “Fortunate Son,” featuring Daisies’ drummer Deen Castronovo

on lead vocals. “The Lockdown Sessions” unmistakably proves that Glenn Hughes has already
added his distinctive sound to The Dead Daisies. Regarding Hughes, Daisies’ guitarist David Lowry
has given a glowing endorsement, “As we all know, Glenn is a fantastic bassist and vocalist who is
rightly referred to as ‘The Voice of Rock.’ We really enjoyed ourselves with him at the studio and
can hardly wait to present the new songs and current line-up live on stage.”

No doubt about it, from now on, the fans will be impatiently counting the days until January 2021,

which will see the release of the band’s new album “Holy Ground” -- as well as kick-off their eagerly-
awaited world tour; their first with this new lineup, including Glenn Hughes (vocals, bass), Doug

Aldrich (guitar), David Lowy (guitar), Deen Castronovo (drums, vocals).

Here is my in-depth interview with Doug, where we discuss “The Lockdown Sessions” …and so
          much more!
