AM: I'd say they can both be work at times, LOL. I love
playing live, but I think where I thrive and I'm in my truest
element is in the studio. I love being in the studio, and
sure it can be labor intensive, but it's the best type of
work I like to do. Being in that creative atmosphere
really makes me excited and happy.
MH: What advice would you give bands following
your footsteps?
AM: Well first I would say don't follow my footsteps
because I did everything backwards, LOL! What worked
for me may not work for you. But what I would advise is
to stay true to your convictions. Don't worry about what
style or genre is relevant because everything comes
back in cycles and repeats itself. Whatever you do, try
to write the truest and most transparent thing you could
ever write, and I guarantee it will open up flood gates
you never expected. All killer, no filler.
MH: Where do you see yourself in the next few
years? What's next for Armando Moreno?
AM: I definitely see more albums on the way,
touring/traveling, just enjoying life and doing music
wherever it takes me and The Revival. If it goes bigger
and farther beyond my expectations, then great. But no
matter what, I'm gonna be intentional about enjoying
and being in the moment with gratitude.
MH: Armando and band, thank you very much for
giving me this opportunity to interview you. What is
one message you would give to your fans and
friends and is there anything else you want the
readers of ION Indie Magazine to know?
AM: Hey, buy my album and follow me! LOL! But
seriously, if I were to send a message to anyone
reading this, it is to love your loved ones much more
than you have been and forgive your enemies. Life is
too short for living in offense and grudges. Do good to
others because it really comes back. Help and
encourage others in need and if you are a musician in
a band, support your community and help fill the needs
and deficiencies with your gifts and talents. Be blessed!
