Lewis was sure to mix in acoustic Staind songs like It’s Been Awhile,
Outside, and Right Here, giving his traveling band The Stateliners a
break. Occasionally a fan would shout out an outlandish request,
“Play Mudshovel!” Lewis chuckled and began to play the acoustic
version on the heavy bass guitar song before stopping, fans cheering
in response.

Aaron Lewis and The Stateliners played a little over and hour and
half for the Hampton Beach crowd. “This is a song about growing up
in Vermont,” Lewis told the crowd before playing Northern Redneck.
Lewis was born in Vermont and lived in a log cabin with his parents
until about high school when he and his mom moved to
Massachusetts following his parents’ divorce.
