Alejandra Guzmán followed and she had
some of the same feisty energy as Paulina,
but she approached it in a different way. It
came from every sweat gland of her being.
The shake of her hair, the swivel of her hips,
the throaty strength she put into her songs
"Miralo, mirala, (my favorite)," "Mala
hierba," and "Diablo en mi." Who would
have thought? Two perras (dogs) onstage,"
she said as the crowd became louder.
But for all the public focus on Alejandra
Guzmán's wild persona, it's her talent that's
kept her moving forward all these years.
She's bold, confident, and commanding
when onstage. And she has a powerful,
piecing voice that's equally strong and
exciting on rock songs ("Eternamente
bella") and power ballads ("Hacer el amor
con otro").
