The recent EP “Coming Up Roses” is a collection of a body of
work in which all the songs are relationship focused. Moreno
explained the songs all tie together to tell a story about the
different stages of a relationship. Regarding “Coming Up Roses,”
Chris told ION Indie Magazine that the title track “is a bittersweet
song about looking back on a relationship after it’s over,
questioning if I had given it more attention it could have been
something else?”
Over the past three years, Moreno has been nominated for “Best
Country Artist” by the New England and Boston Music Awards, as
well as “Best Songwriter” and “Best Song” (for “Before You”). He
told ION Indie Magazine that he’s had a lot of manager interest at
the time that we interviewed him, but he hasn’t signed with anyone
yet. Chris, who has a business background and degree from
UMASS Amherst, believes building a strong business on his own
will allow the right team to gravitate toward him.
With a strong vision for his next EP, a growing fan base
nationwide, and plenty of tour dates, it appears that everything is
coming up roses for Moreno. The dedication, time, and
consistency he has given to his fans has given his music
everything it needs to be in full bloom.
