MH: Being in music is really a tough job, especially if you
are doing it all yourself. What advice would you give
anyone thinking of pursuing music?
PJ: Never quit. Surround yourself with other dreamers, doers,
musicians, artists, and people that believe in you. Play
anywhere you can. Practice. Write. Feel. Let the music take you
where it's going to take you. The BEST advice I can give you I
heard in an Old Dominion song in 2017 and have lived my last
3 years by it: ‘Chase after the dream don't chase after the
money.’ My dream has taken me to places I never even
dreamed!
MH: Pamela, I really appreciate you, your music, and your
cause. Is there anything else you would like to share?
PJ: Just a huge thank you to all the venues that invite me to play
around the country, the fans that are listening to my songs, the
people that have let us stay in their homes or paid for a hotel
room, the bands that let me open, the fans who will hand me an
extra $20 for gas money, and to all the ‘little people’ that never
stopped believing in me and my music. YOU are the reason I
do what I do.
