Just a quick well-deserved mention about the Yamaha stage band - Yamaha artist and bassist Nathan
East once again served as Musical Director for the concert, with Greg Phillinganes on keys, Dave
Delhomme on keys and guitar, Teddy Campbell on drums, Kevin Ricard on percussion, Tariqh Akoni
on guitar, with Nita Whitaker, Kenya Hathaway and Amy Keys performing background vocals.
Featured on horns were the Yamaha All-Star Horn Section, including Wayne Bergeron, Dan Fornero
and Sean Billings (trumpets), Scott Mayo, George Shelby and Justin Klunk (saxes), and Andy Martin
and Christopher Johnson (trombones).

I close by emphatically stating that this was another successful NAMM show. This may or may not be
my last year participating – I’m sure my body will let me know by next NAMM Show which is January
21–24, 2021.
