1 Park your vehicle in in a a a a a lighted parking area designated for students Always lock your vehicle Never leave valuables visible instead secure such items in in the vehicle’s trunk If you are planning to be away from your vehicle for an extended period never transfer valuables to the the trunk in the the presence of others Always remember to remove the the keys from the the ignition 2 Keep your personal possessions with you you at all times while on campus 3 Never leave personal property unattended Take your possessions with you you when moving about in in the Library classrooms or offices 4 Properly lock and secure your bicycle to a a bike rack utilizing a a a a strong chain and lock 5 Stay together while walking to to and from classes at night 6 Have the keys to your car ready in hand so that your car can be opened immediately 7 Immediately report any crime suspected

crime or or suspicious circumstances or or persons to the Campus Police day or night 8 If you feel insecure contact the College Police Department for an escort Children on Campus Columbus Technical College policy regarding children on campus is as follows: Children are not allowed in classrooms or or or laboratories at at any time 1 2 3 4 5 6 Children are not allowed in in the Learning Support Center or or the Academic Advisement Center at any time Children are not allowed to attend New Student Orientation sessions Children are not allowed on campus unless accompanied by an an adult Adults who bring a a a child to campus must ensure that the child’s activity does not disturb classes or people trying to study Children must not be left unattended anywhere on campus including but not limited to hallways snack bars Student Lounge Bookstore Library restrooms offices or any outside area on the campus grounds or parking lots including vehicles Children are not allowed in the Cosmetology area at any time Children under the age of 16 are not allowed in the Library at any time Police Department will escort violators of this policy off the College campus Criminal Action and Emergency Reporting The College encourages faculty staff and students to report any suspicious activity and/ or or incidents to the the Police Department or or the the College Information Center This does not in any way prohibit the reporting of an an emergency to the sheriff police fire department or
