Lesson 2: Part 1
Well, you’re about to find out. But first,
let’s have a little review.
In Lesson One you were given an
understanding of what a habit is, how it is
formed and how to go about changing it.
You were also asked to pick a single habit
you’d like to change over the course of this
Starter Program. And finally, some of the
techniques successful people have been
using for years to make behavioral changes
in their lives were shared with you. Now it’s
time to put your hard hat on and really get
to work. The next six lessons are crucial,
because we will go in depth and learn the
specific secrets and tools that will enable
you to do what you don’t want to do in order
to become the person you want to become.
Each of these lessons will contain formulas
and principles that you’ll need to memorize
in order to succeed in the transformation of
the habit you’ve chosen to change. And if
you haven’t chosen that habit yet, then what
are you waiting for? This is the time!
Now, let’s get back to that fisherman for
a moment. Despite his skepticism, Simon
pushed that boat out into deeper waters
and dropped his net. He and his partners
caught a large sum of fish and afterwards
Jesus invited Simon and the others to follow
Him, for he would make them “fishers of
men.” This time, without hesitation, they
dropped everything and followed the Master.
But why? Why were the men so much more
eager to acquiesce to what seemed like a
much bigger and harder request?
Well the answer is “motivation.” After seeing
what was possible with the fish, something
