Meet the Judges
NSAA offers a special shout out and thank you to this year’s judges for the National Marketing Awards. Judges generously volunteer their
time, thoughtfully evaluating all entries. Their contributions (and votes) play a key role in the success of the Marketing Awards Program.
Michael Bisner
As a lifelong skier, Mike Bisner has held several of the top marketing positions for global equipment
manufacturers, including Salomon, Nordica, and Head. He has had a career in brand building and
product development that has allowed him to experience ski resorts and the outdoors as part of his
career path. Today, Bisner is vice president of business development for MWRC Internet Sales, which
is a patented e-commerce solution that allows manufacturers to sell directly to consumers and include
the local retailers, sales reps, and all other members of the sales channel. Bisner also works as vice
president of sales and marketing for Body Glove Winter Products, and was recently tapped to serve on
the board of the US Ski Hall of Fame. With his wife and their two Newfoundlands, they split their time
between Boston and Vermont, skiing, mountain biking, and hiking.
Kristen Lummis
Kristen Lummis is the owner, writer, and head ski tech at www.braveskimom.com. Mother, wife, and trail
boss in a busy outdoor family, Lummis writes about skiing all year round, tossing in some biking, hiking,
parenting, and even a bit of reflection during the off-season. While her recreational passion is for all
things snow, her real passion is for her family. In addition to her website, Kristen is a guest editor for the
FIS Bring Children to the Snow Initiative (SnowKidz and World Snow Day) and a monthly contributor to
liftopia.com. Look for her work at other publications including MTN Town Magazine and Club Colorado –
The Colorado Ski Country USA Blog.
Mike Lewis
Born and raised in Colorado, Mike Lewis fell in love with snowboarding at a very young age and his
passion has grown into a huge part of his life and career. From his first industry job, working retail at
Wave Rave in college, to editing TransWorld Business for six years, before joining ZEAL in 2013, the
narrative thread has been sharing his love of the mountains and snowsports, and growing the industry.
Believing that snowsports are incredibly inspiring, Lewis focuses on telling stories that help people
put themselves in that narrative. At ZEAL Optics, where he is director of brand activations and digital
strategy, his role is to connect people with the mountains and to inspire them to get outside and see the
world through this lens. “Everyone in our industry plays a role in making this connection,” says Lewis.
“I’m excited to help celebrate the resorts that have created the most compelling and engaging marketing
campaigns this season.”
