Filter coffee generally has a cleaner
taste than espresso with less acidity
and intensity and is typically enjoyed
in its basic, pure form in a 250ml
serve, unlike espresso, which is often
used as a base for other drinks.
With its lighter body, filter coffee
is also great for drinkers looking to
reduce caffeine intake.
It’s also worth mentioning that filter
coffee is considered a more
environmentally friendly option,
using minimal milk and much less
packaging compared to espresso-
based drinks. Filter coffee is
therefore ideal for meetings and
impromptu gatherings where
demand may be intermittent and
coffee volume unpredictable.
Being far more energy efficient to
prepare, filter coffee is a good
all-round choice when sustainability
and waste reduction are top of
the agenda.
