2013-14 Smart Scholars ECHS Program Profile

 Over 5,300 students were served in 2013-14
 72% participated in the Free and Reduced Price Lunch Program
 84% were students of color

Outcomes for the first cohort of students to complete the 4-year program, i.e., students who
entered in 2010 and graduated in 2014:

 87% graduated on time
 Students graduated with an average of 19 college credits. Since the target number of

college credits earned was raised in 2014 to at least 24 credits, and as the program
matures, it is anticipated that students will graduate with an average of 24 or more
college credits.
 87% went on to college immediately after graduating high school, including

o 69% enrolling at SUNY institutions
o 5% enrolling at CUNY institutions
o 18% enrolling at independent colleges in New York State
o 8% enrolling in colleges out of state
 46% enrolled at their partner IHE
 56% enrolled at 2-year colleges
 44% enrolled at 4-year colleges
