Phillips 66 Community
Throughout its 50 years, the Humber Refinery has proudly enjoyed its
working within the community through its engagement and outreach
programmes and monetary donations to schools and charities. Lasting
legacies have been left including community centres, class rooms and
gardens, all built with the love and dedication seen so frequently by the
Humber Refinery team.
We have built play parks and acted as reading mentors in junior
schools, held fundraising events, promoted career options for women in
engineering, pioneered an apprenticeship programme and supported
STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) with young people.
EEK (Educating Engineering Kids) is now in its 10th year and has seen
more than 2,000 pupils from schools around the region attend special
events. From EEK alone, staff have volunteered an amazing 5,600
hours!
It is clear to see that the refinery and its staff continue to wave the flag
for Humber, and highlight its integral position in the community.
