General Information
Who is First Mid-Illinois Bank & Trust?
First Mid-Illinois Bank & Trust (known to many as “First Mid”) was first
chartered in 1865 and has since grown into a more than $2.8 billion
community-focused organization that provides financial services through
a network of 53 banking centers in 37 communities. Our mission is to
fulfill the financial needs of our communities with exceptional personal
service, professionalism and integrity.
Backed with a long history of strength and security, First Mid continues to
provide innovative products and services designed to meet customers’
needs, while helping communities to prosper and grow. In addition to
maintaining the Bauer Financial Five Star rating, we have also received
other notable recognitions and awards over the years.
When will First Clover Leaf become First Mid-Illinois Bank & Trust (First Mid)?
The “scheduled” date is close of business Friday, March 17, 2017. To accommodate the
conversion of accounts to First Mid, special hours will go into effect beginning on Friday,
March 17, 2017. The Clayton, Missouri branch will close at noon; 2143 S. State Route 157 and
St. Louis Street locations in Edwardsville, and the Swansea location will close at 3:00 p.m.
The Edwardsville banking center at 6814 Goshen Road and the Wood River banking center will
close at 5:00 p.m. The Highland location will close at 6:00 p.m. All locations will remain closed
until Monday, March 20, at which time they will reopen as First Mid-Illinois Bank & Trust, with
the exception of the First Clover Leaf Bank location in Highland, which will merge operations
with our two existing First Mid Highland banking centers.
Will I be able to bank at other First Mid banking centers?
Yes. You will be able to transact business at any First Mid location beginning Monday,
March 20, 2017. There is a list of all First Mid banking center locations on pages 28 and 29.
Will my bank maintain a personal touch?
Absolutely! When you walk into your First Mid banking center you will see many of the same
familiar faces who have always greeted you. First Mid is dedicated to supporting the
development and activities of each community while providing you with the personal
attention you deserve.
Will bank hours remain the same?
When your banking center opens as First Mid on Monday, March 20, most banking hours
will remain the same. A listing of the banking center hours may be found on page 14 of
this Welcome Packet. Note that the First Clover Leaf Bank banking center located in
Highland will not reopen, but instead will merge operations with our two existing Highland
banking centers.
Will there be any changes in bank services?
First Mid offers many of the same products and services offered by First Clover Leaf Bank.
First Mid offers traditional deposit and lending services along with a full line of Wealth
