Intelligent Water
Management

Intelligent Water Management, Inc. calls BrainPipes
“mind control for plumbing.” The system relies on a
check-valve installed in the main water supply,
which remains in the “off” position until there is a
call for water. Unlike typical leak detection systems,
sensors placed at each faucet and fixture detect
losses in water pressure. If this occurs without a
“legitimate request” for water, such as a toilet
flushing, the sensor sends an alert. Monthly usage
reports also help homeowners monitor and
change their habits.
