The time has come for sorors of the Montgomery (AL) Alumnae Chapter to, once again,
begin fundraising to support community service and scholarship causes in our beloved Riv-
er Region. The Crème de la Crème Contestant Committees have been sorted and estab-
lished. Please be sure to answer the call when a soror calls. Sorors, your engagement is
needed to make this a successful event and a memorable time for our contestants. Fund-
raising enables us, as an organization, to give back to our community in the form of ser-
          vice.

The Montgomery (AL) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has a rich his-
tory of giving back and supporting the River Region community through its programs and

to focus cultural awareness and civic responsibility for elementary and middle school aged
girls and boys; provided financial & volunteer services to the American Cancer Society,
American Red Cross, Mid Alabama Coalition for the Homeless, Back Pack program , the
local public library via donations, service and engagement, Alzheimer's Association, Sickle
Cell Anemia Foundation, NAACP, Emancipation Association, Health Services, Inc., disas-
ter relief to flood victims, domestic violence relief support for victims and many, many more
organizations in Montgomery who help improve the quality of life for all citizens through this
annual fundraising event. The cost of these programs, which the chapter has financially
supported, exceeds 1 million dollars over a span of twenty years.

The Gospel Explosion component of the 2019 Crème de la Crème will be the second year
that we have approached this themed based program. The 2018 Gospel Explosion was a
resounding success and we wish to continue this approach. Your support of the Crème
contestants is critical to the success of the chapter’s continued efforts of assisting our
youth to pursue higher education and live a higher quality of life and support of our focused
programs in the areas of community service.

Crème de la Crème involves mentored time spent with young students of the River Region
