We finished of our busy year with the Presidential Election with a
strong voter turnout. We are always so grateful for our poll
workers and thankful for their continuous dedication to ensure
smooth and accurate election day processes

In-person early voting for the Presidential Election
was available from October 19 - November 1. The
State Election was held on November 3, 2024. The
voter turnout was 14,537 of the 20,559 registered
voters, which is a 70.7% voter turnout. This includes
just over 6,800 ballots cast during Absentee Voting,
Vote by Mail and In Person Early Voting.
Education is essential to the success of the election
process. In 2024 I was able to attend conferences
sponsored by the Massachusetts Town Clerk
Association in the spring and fall. The class ofering
covered a wide range of election topics. I also had the
opportunity to attend zoom training that were
hosted by the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s
Election Division throughout the year.
During the year there were over 100 election workers
that assisted in the process of running the elections.
Some of their duties included mailing ballots to
those that requested a Vote by Mail ballot, receiving
in ballots, working at In Person Early Voting,
facilitating in the Advanced Processing of ballots and
on the four Election Days. In order to prepare these
workers, the Town Clerk’s Ofice hosted several
trainings and a full day interactive workshop.
