Greetings Sorors,

I am excited that I have been given a chance to lead a wonderful group of women on a new and
challenging destination.

With guidance from Madame Regional Director, Mary Conner, I am confident that the transition into
becoming an Interest Group and eventually a new Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Graduate
Chapter will be an amazing journey.

The Carpenter's song " We've Only Just Begun!" highlights our adventure into a new horizon. I have
edited some of the words to fit our story.

We've only just begun to live
White lace and promises
A kiss for luck and we're on our way
(we've only just begun)

Before the risin' sun, we fly
So many roads to choose
We'll start out walkin' and learn to run

Sharing horizons that are new to us
Watching for signs along the way,
talking it over just the two of us
Working together day to day

And when that evening comes, we'll smile
So much of life ahead
This will be a place where there is room to grow
And yes we've just begun
