STEP 5: Final draft
All countries around the World are trying to be better each day. Globalization is
helping them to achieve this. I have lived in Ecuador for twenty-three years now, and I had
seen many changes, and it is thanks to globalization. In Ecuador, globalization has two
mains effects: people get information easily and an expanding of our boundaries.
With globalization many ways to acquire information about what was happening in
the world, came, like for example; the radio, the TV, the newspaper, and now Internet and
social media. With this huge change, Ecuador could be at the same platform as other great
countries from all around the World. With the use of social media, Ecuador has a wide-
open launch to offer and acquire products that are needed in our growing economy. Thanks
to the way people get information nowadays, we have much more chances of competing
with other countries when we talk about exportations and importations. This is going to
help our economy to grow, because we are going to have more products to sell and to
purchase inside our region. Information is given trough many different platforms, the most
used by Ecuadorians are the TV, newspapers, and social media. Being informed about what
is happening in our country and around the world help us to understand what we must or
must not do in order to become every day a greater nation.
Another way that globalization has helped Ecuador is that it helped us to expand our
boundaries. Before globalization, Ecuador was a country unrecognized by any other
country, now we can say that we are known in the entire World. One way in that this
became possible was the study of more languages each time. In the past Ecuadorians barely
only knew one language, Spanish; we did not even know our ancestral language Kwicha. In
these days now we can see many people who knows at least two languages, these are
English and Spanish. Apart from those, just a few people know any other language. Now
thanks to Internet it is easier to be connected with many people of any other country, and be
able to communicate with them. When you open your boundaries you can change your
mind and become more open, this happens because you are in touch with the way of
thinking of other people. This can be very helpful when you want to get involve with other
people.
Globalization is a good way to change everything that was old and odd. With globalization,
many people can become more active around the world. Thanks to globalization people can
get more information easily and open their boundaries to new experiences.
