Hundred vs. Hundreds
Explain to students that when reading “352,” they must use the word “hundred” and say, “three hundred
fifty-two.” When talking about number values, have them say, “3 hundreds, 5 tens, and 2 ones.” To talk
about a digit in a place value, have them say, “3 is in the hundreds place.”
