Basic Concepts The Shape of the Body of Rotation
When a plane shape is revolved around the rotation axis, a body of rotation,
such as cylinder, cone, etc., is made.
When a plane shape detached from the rotation axis is revolved around the
rotation axis, a hollow body of rotation can be made.
Example The following body of rotation is made by revolving a plane shape
once around the rotation axis. Draw the plane shape that is
revolved around the rotation axis.
