Basic Concepts The Shape of the Body of Rotation by the Location of the Rotation Axis
You can make different bodies of rotation by revolving the same plane shape
according to the location of the rotation axis.
Example Draw the bodies of rotation when the same plane shape is
revolved around the rotation axis that changes the location.

Draw the bodies of rotation when the plane shape is revolved around the rotation axis.
If the rotation axis is within a plane shape, draw the body of rotation by pretending that
the plane shape is only on the left or on the side of the rotation axis. Then, draw the
overlapped bodies of rotation to complete the shape of the body of rotation.
