Reading Comprehension
There were four blind men in a village. They never saw an elephant before.
They wanted to see it. So they went to the zoo together and touched the
elephant.
The first man touched the elephant and said, “Wow, the elephant is like a big
snake. It’s long and thick.” The second man said, “No, you’re wrong. It is wide
and thin. It is like a fan. ” The third man said, “Well, both of you are wrong. It is
like a rope.” The fourth man said, “Did you really touch the elephant? It is like a
big wall.”
They fought about the elephant. An old man saw them and said, “What’s the
problem?” They asked, “Did you see the elephant? What does it look like?” Then,
the old man said, “All of you are right. Each of you touched a different part of the
elephant. You should touch the whole elephant!”
