In the Greek myths, twelve gods and goddesses appeared. They
lived on Mount Olympus. We call them Olympian gods. Most of the
gods were siblings or children of the king, Zeus. Zeus ruled the
world of the gods. Hera, Zeus’s wife, was the goddess of marriage.
One of Zeus’s brothers, Poseidon, was the god of the ocean. Athena
was born from Zeus’s head. She was the ruler of wisdom. Each of
the gods had a magical power. They watched down over the human
