Demeter was the goddess of the harvest. p A magical fruit
Thanks to her, the earth was warm and (Pomegranate)
full of food. She had a beautiful daughter,
Persephone. The god of the underworld,
Hades, loved Persephone. So, he
kidnapped her. Demeter became sad.
And she stopped caring for the earth. The
earth became cold and bare. Then Zeus
said to Hades, “Let the girl go.” Hades did.
However, he made Persephone eat seven
seeds of a magical fruit. It made her return
to Hades for seven months every year.
During these months, the earth gets cold,
and winter comes.
