RHYTHM and FLOW are important for writing sentences. They make your
writing clear, interesting, and more fun to read!
For good RHYTHM and FLOW,
• Use words and sentences of various lengths.
• Experiment with different sentence structures.
• Change the sentence order.
• Combine sentences using correct transition words.
EXAMPLE Look at the following sentences. All the words are short, and the
structures are simplistic.
It was yesterday.The weather was nice. I wanted to
go to the park.
Try this instead:
Because the weather was nice yesterday, I wanted
to go to the park.
