6.  The string should now be quite tangled with everyone in the
                group connected to everyone else.



             7.  Discussion:
                •  Ask learners to talk about how their objects are connected
                   to others that came up earlier in the game.
                •  Ask learner to predict what would happen if one of
                   the objects was removed from the web. Which other
                   organisms would be affected?
                •  What effect would this have on the ecosystem?


             8.  Learners should conclude that the tangled ball of string
                has formed a web showing how closely the living and
                non-living objects in an ecosystem interact with one another.
                Anything that happens to part of the web has an effect on
                the whole system.



             9.  Hand out the learner task sheet.
