Social Media Musings – Part III My Reflections on the Practice and Life
Search out a mentor in your firm. If you can’t find one, search for one in your local bar association.
Mentor someone. No matter where you are situated at a firm or company, no matter your experience level, there is someone whom you can mentor who will benefit from your wisdom and experiences.
If you’re a young lawyer, seek out the following mentors:
◗ A slightly more experienced lawyer who freshly remembers the issues and obstacles you’re facing.
◗ A much more experienced lawyer who can provide perspective and wisdom.
◗ A non lawyer business person who can provide you customer service, marketing, and sales advice.
◗ An accountability partner who will hold you accountable to pursue your goals and you’ll hold them accountable to pursue theirs.
I remember everyone who mentored me. You want a legacy?
You want to be remembered?
Mentor.
