Social Media Musings – Part III My Reflections on the Practice and Life
it. If you feel fear coming over you because of a case, a hearing, a deposition - you name it - choose not to empower it. You got this.
Getting older has been a gift. Age has taught me how to accept me, how to be me and how to make others’ lives better by tapping into the person that was always there.
It’s hard to do big things. Break big things into small tasks, that can be done in short spurts, and do the little things each day. Little things, done consistently over time, turn into big things.
Successful people are asked how they did it. There’s no secret formula. Hard work. Discipline. Sacrifice. There are no magic beans and there are no magic pills.
Your self-worth is not based on whether

An introvert by nature, over the years I’ve been accused of not speaking up enough, not saying enough, and generally being
too quiet. I used to think there must be something wrong with me, that I was the problem. But you know what? Most folks talk too much and say too little. Most are poor listeners. Most like being the center
of attention and don’t contribute as much to the discourse as they think they do. If you’re introverted, if you’re not a fan of small talk and you’re not here for others’ entertainment, you be you. There’s a place in this world for you. You can be an effective advocate and rainmaker being you.

During quarantine, I grew a beard. I’m 49, and with a short haircut and no beard, hardly any gray hairs. But the beard - totally gray. I had to decide if I wanted to look my age with gray all over my face or pretend I was younger and fool the world alongside me by shaving it off. I decided to embrace my age - and the beard. When you download my videos on LinkedIn - you’ll see me sporting it. We all grow older and age - with its wisdom and understanding - is something to be embraced, not avoided.
