Task analysis is the analysis of how a task is accomplished, including a
detailed description of both manual and mental activities, task and
element durations, task frequency, task allocation, task complexity,
environmental conditions, necessary clothing and equipment, and
any other unique factors involved in or required for one or more
people to perform a given task
5. What are the differences between Synchronous vs.
Asynchronous e-Learning?
Asynchronous lessons are generally self-study, self-paced lessons
designed for solo learning. In contrast, synchronous e-learning, also
known as the virtual classroom, is an instructor-led event attended
by learners at the same time but in different places
Glossary of important terms
1. Analysis (Analisa): A part of the instructional systems design
process during which the performance factors, including training,
needed to reach operational objectives are defined
2. Business Process (Proses Perniagaan): A flow of events or
activities that involve multiple employees, departments, or
organizational units. Some examples include a hiring process and
performance appraisal process. Contrast with technical and
scientific process
3. e-Learning (e-Pembelajaran): Learning environments mediated
by a computer. These include (1) asynchronous self-paced courses
(formally called computer-based training), (2) synchronous real-
time instructor led courses (also called virtual classrooms), as well
as (3) blends such as a recorded synchronous course reviewed
asynchronously.
4. Instructional Systems Design (Rekabentuk Sistem Berarahan): A
systematic process for the planning, creation, and evaluation of
learning environments that includes stages associated with
design, development, and evaluation oftraining.
