Responders and Veterans Peer-to-Peer Fitness Program
BY BRITTANY AMALFI
In a profession where physical fortitude is paramount, Respond- ers Together NH Peer-to-Peer Fitness recognizes the critical im- portance of prioritizing health for those who serve and protect. With a powerful blend of technology, expert guidance, and a supportive community of peers, Responders Together NH empowers veterans and responders to conquer their fitness goals, enhance their overall well-being, and unlock their full potential.
Responders Together NH Peer-to-Peer Fitness is utilizing an app called TrainHeroicTM. The app is not directly linked to RTNH, but it utilizes it to help re- sponders and veterans participate in physical fitness. The workouts from Peer-to-Peer Fitness were
developed by people who fully understood what veterans and responders have gone through physically. With their concrete knowledge of the intense phys- ical demands of working in a dangerous profession, these men were able to construct physical workouts that veterans and first responders could perform to help their well-being. David Sabo, Air Force/Combat Veteran, FF/ AEMT, utilized physical train- ing so he could continue to take care of himself while meeting the physical demands of his job. Once Sabo immersed himself in the responder world, he began helping others get into fitness and develop their skills. “We’re people who care,” Sabo said.
