Pedaling for a Purpose:
Meredith Cline's Inspiring Journey in the PMC Winter Cycle

Since December 20th, 2018, Bristol native Meredith Cline has been on an inspiring journey. This journey began with the devastat- ing news of her father's diagnosis of non-Hodgkins lymphoma at Dana Farber. In the face of this challenge, Meredith's determi- nation and resilience have been evident, guiding her forward on a path of courage and purpose."
After Don Robert Cline passed nine months later, Meredith took it upon herself to figure out how to honor his memory while spreading awareness and building connections. Growing up, Mere- dith and her family loved cycling together. In fact, her father was a cyclist, and the whole family spent a lot of their time cycling together. After Cline’s sister was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, the family participated in the Tour de Cure for the American Diabetes Associ- ation, so Cline was no stranger to
cycling. With her preferred work- out being Spin, she believed it would be a natural and productive way to grieve. And it turns out, it was so much more than that.
Meredith's passion for fund- raising and charitable work natu- rally led her to the PMC Winter Cycle (Pan-Mass Challenge). This annual
event is a beacon of hope, with participants using their strength to support those who are unable to by riding and fundrais- ing for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Every penny raised by the rid- ers goes directly to cancer research and treatment at the institute, where Cline’s father had received his care. Cline commends the PMC for its unwavering commitment to its mission, stating, “She gives a lot of credit to PMC because
they stay authentic to their goal.” PMC Winter Cycle kickstarted the PMC’s 2024 fundraising ef- forts as the organization is close to a monumental $1 billion fundrais- ing milestone for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber in
